Fair Trade Organic Mexico Chiapas FIECH is sourced from family-owned farms organized around the Federación Indígena Ecológica de Chiapas (FIECH), an umbrella cooperative operating in 21 municipalities located within the state of Chiapas, Mexico. FIECH members come from indigenous groups including the Tzotzil, Tzeltal, Mame, Chuj, and Zoque. FIECH accesses the international coffee markets for farmers to have greater earning capacity from direct trade relationships. FIECH has also invested in coffee processing facilities to improve quality and nurseries to support farm renovation.
